Chuck Kronzek hasn’t always been the highly respected and sought after defense attorney he is now. At one point, decades ago, Chuck was a police officer. And a property investor. And even a songwriter (we bet you would never have guessed that last one!) But whatever he was doing at the time, he was doing it well. Because that’s pretty much Chuck’s motto in life – if you’re going to do something, be the best at it!
So when it comes to being an attorney, Chuck strives for nothing less than being the best one he can possibly be. What does that mean? It means working tirelessly for every client he takes on, dedicating his whole self to every case that crosses his desk, and treating every defendant he represents like the most important person in the world. He is fierce, dedicated, hard working, and compassionate. All traits that serve to make him a fantastic attorney, and a really good friend.
A good friend with a sense of humor. A friend who loves a good laugh, and a good prank. The side of Chuck that many people don’t get to see, is the side that (as a teen) smeared limburger cheese on the seats of his friend’s car, right before a long road trip. And there’s that rumor about the toilet paper… but don’t worry! Chuck has made it a point to keep his legendary pranking skills out of the courtroom (much to the relief of his clients and opposing counsel!)
Chuck isn’t a Michigan native, but the Mitten captured his heart while he was here attending the J.D. Thomas M. Cooley Law School. And so it was right here, in Lansing, that Chuck chose to start a law firm and begin the next phase of his life. But while law and business may be his first love, Chuck enjoys a number of other hobbies. What hobbies would a wild prankster enjoy, you wonder? Lots of things!
He loves travelling to warm places, like Israel which he has visited twice (which leaves one to wonder why he took his family on a helicopter to the top of a glacier in Alaska!) But when he’s not off roaming the planet, he occasionally enjoys going to the movies with his wife, where he naps quietly while she enjoys the feature film.
But world travelling and movie naps aside, Chuck’s first love is his family (and Italian food). His wife, children, and grandchildren are the light of his life, and nothing brings him greater joy than being with them. Which is another reason he is such a great attorney. Chuck understands how much our families mean to us, because his are priceless to him. He would do anything for the people he loves, and so when he takes a client’s case, he shoulders the burden of their family love. He understands their fears and concerns, listens as if they were the only people who matter, and dedicates himself wholeheartedly to their cause.
In the words of Steve Jobs, “the only way to be truly satisfied, is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work, is to love what you do.” This is the epitome of Chuck’s approach to his work. He believes passionately in being the best attorney he can possibly be. And given his insanely high standards, that’s really saying something!
