Ashley Turner grew up on Detroit’s east side and has been a lifelong Michigander. Every teacher growing up told her to become a lawyer, and that is exactly what she did. Ashley’s personal experiences make her an excellent attorney for handling sensitive domestic and family matters. She approaches each case differently and tailors her strategy to the client and the issues that matter to them. She is always empathetic and available to her clients and will guide them through their case.
Ashley graduated from Oakland University with a degree in history and public relations. She attended law school at Western Michigan University Cooley Law School full time by night while working at an animal hospital full time by day. She began her professional career at Oakland Mediation Center, providing mediation services in the areas of family, civil, guardianship, child protection proceedings, and special education law. After graduating in the top 10% of her class and passing the bar exam, Ashley created the Low-Cost Legal Services Program at Oakland Mediation Center to provide affordable legal services to the community.
Ashley was director of the nonprofit program until she was appointed as an Attorney-Referee at the Washtenaw County Circuit Court in 2023. As an Attorney-Referee, Ashley was conducting evidentiary hearings and motions on behalf of family court judges and providing judges a written recommendation and proposed order. This has given Ashley the unique experience of judging cases and deciding what is in the best interest of the minor children in a matter. This makes Ashley a valuable attorney for any client with a family law case involving minor children. You can be sure you are working with an attorney experienced in the courtroom.
After almost two years as Michigan Friend of the Court Referee, Ashley knew her true passion was advocating for clients. This landed her at The Kronzek Firm.
Ashley currently lives in Oakland County and travels around Michigan for her clients. She lives on a farm with her husband and two children. She loves living a lifestyle where the homecooked meals are farm-to-table. She enjoys being with her family, their animals, and advocating for the underdog.
